Welcome to my Fitness page...a chance to share how fitness influences my life, not only as an athlete but as a coach to others. A place to extend some of my personal philosophies and experiences, which I hope you will find to be genuinely inspiring!
Fitness is a very broad word, however, it is so much more than physically looking good. Fitness is a wellness of the body and mind, that which benefits all areas of our lives. The hard labor of lifting weights, cardio, strength skills and stretching represent but a small part of the big picture. So often people associate a strong, lean physical appearance as the pinnacle of health - but this is not always true. One can easily dedicate themselves to an intense sport, but true fitness happens when the "AWARENESS" kicks in. Awareness of our daily choices and pathways traveled. It has been a long process for me to realize this. I've been exercising for 1/2 a lifetime, but my full awareness did not mature for many many years. I am still learning the AWARENESS game, it is a lifelong growth.
